December Jazz Newsletter

As we’ve just celebrated Thanksgiving, I’m certainly grateful for much. In July of last year, my Thursday gig with Kevin Johnson at Travinia Italian Kitchen expanded to include Tuesdays. Both Tuesday and Thursday have been well attended, well received, and we’ve made so many new friends.

Just last month Bourbon Bayou Kitchen in Ashburn added a Wednesday Piano Jazz night to their schedule. I’m looking forward to all of the new friends I’ll be making there as well.

Additionally, I’m grateful for all of the retirement communities that allow me to share the gift of music on a regular basis. I’m thinking of Ashleigh at Lansdowne, Heritage Village, The Village at Orchard Ridge, Morningside House of Leesburg, Great Falls Assisted Living, Tall Oaks Assisted Living, Greenspring Village, Meadow Glen, Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury, and several more. Thank you!

Also, many thank to Loudoun County Public Library for programming jazz. Programming Coordinator, Lorraine Moffa has brought not just me, but many friends from the Loudoun Jazz Society into the libraries for presentations that bring our great American art form to the public.

Lightfoot Restaurant still books jazz on Friday nights occasionally, and I’ve been playing some Fridays at the St. Regis in DC near the White House.
