Pianist Caleb Nei and his trio will bring swinging standards to the Carlyle Room. “Caleb brings laid-back cool, beautiful melodic ideas, a rhythmic beat to the date,” says a recent review. For over ten years Nei was the house pianist for V2 Piano Bar and he brings that experience to his three weekly engagements in Loudoun County. He plays classic jazz tunes, with an occasional pop number thrown in just to mix things up. You’re sure to be delighted and inspired.
Active mid-Atlantic upright bassist Kevin Johnson has been playing with Nei for over twenty years. Johnson is a superfan of Ray Brown and that commitment to solid swing, and being in the right place at the right time shows.
Fifteen-year-old (yes you read that right) Leesburg native Dominic Cardinal, has been playing drums since age 7. Though his studies have been varied, the largest portion of his experience is in the jazz genre. He participates in various Northern Virginia swing bands and the Virginia Winds Academy. He joins Caleb Nei & Kevin Johnson weekly at Travinia Italian Kitchen.
