I’ve got more gigs in the month than days in the month. That’s mind-blowing.
This month features all of the usual culprits (Travinia, Bourbon Bayou, Lightfoot) as well as a few new places. On Saturday, March 4th I’m at District Provision & Supply Co. in Hagerstown is owned by drummer Trent Renshaw who I met on a gig in New Jersey. Now he’s booking jazz once a month at his new place.
I picked up a last-minute date at the Carlyle Room in DC on the 12th. They’re talking about adding a “standards night” to the rotation, so we’ll see what we can make happen in that direction. Tickets are free, but required. Get them here.
I’ve got a non-jazz piano concert coming up for Piano Day at noon at the Barns of Rose Hill in Berryville. More on that later in the month. Meanwhile, check out this event summary.
